These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the The Platform mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by The Platform ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, downloading our app, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Description of the Service
The Platform is a faith-based community platform that helps users discover and engage with events, businesses, churches, ministries, products, and other community resources. The Service may include features such as user profiles, event discovery and booking, business and ecclesia listings, product listings, direct messaging, bookmarks, ratings, search, and push notifications.
Some listings may indicate pricing or paid events for informational purposes. Unless we explicitly state otherwise within the Service, booking or registering for an event through the app does not process payment and does not create a paid transaction between you and us.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Account Registration and Security
To access certain features, you must create an account and provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, password, and optional profile details.
You agree to:
- provide accurate, current, and complete information;
- keep your login credentials confidential;
- notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account;
- accept responsibility for activity that occurs under your account, except where caused by our failure to maintain reasonable security.
We may require email verification before you can sign in. We may suspend or refuse registration where we reasonably believe information is inaccurate or use would violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service. Without limiting the foregoing, you must not:

5. User Content
The Service allows you and other users to submit content, including profile information, listings, event details, messages, images, reviews, ratings, and other materials ("User Content").
You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and otherwise use your User Content solely to operate, provide, improve, and promote the Service, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit your User Content and that it does not violate these Terms or any third-party rights. We are not obligated to monitor User Content but may remove or restrict content at our discretion.
6. Events, Listings, and Third-Party Interactions
Events, businesses, ecclesias, products, and other listings may be created by users or administrators. We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, safety, or quality of any listing or third-party offering. Any interaction, booking, purchase, or arrangement you make with another user or organization is between you and that party. We are not a party to those arrangements unless we expressly say otherwise.
7. Communications and Notifications
By using the Service, you may receive in-app messages, emails, and push notifications related to your account, bookings, messages, and platform activity. You can manage notification preferences in the app or device settings where available. Some transactional or legally required messages may still be sent.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, and other materials (excluding User Content), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service except as allowed by law or with our written permission.
9. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services such as mapping providers, cloud hosting, analytics, email delivery, and push notification platforms. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or external websites.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
Content on the Service is provided for general community and informational purposes. It does not constitute professional, legal, financial, medical, or religious advice.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us and our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request deletion of your account through the app or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure, or if we discontinue the Service.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where required, provide additional notice in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
